Baseball Betting Lines

08/15/2010 - Atlanta, GA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Alex Gonzalez went 2-for-3 and drove in four runs as Atlanta blitzed Los Angeles, 13-1, in the third installment of a four- game set from Turner Field.

Troy Glaus hit a three-run homer and also knocked in four runs for the Braves, who have taken two of three in the series and four of five overall.

Omar Infante collected three hits, scored three times and knocked in a run while Melky Cabrera and Brooks Conrad added two hits and an RBI each for Atlanta, which increased its lead over Philadelphia in the NL East to 2 1/2 games. The Phillies play the Mets later Sunday.

Jair Jurrjens (5-4) went seven innings and scattered six hits with one run, fanning seven and walking one.

Ryan Theriot picked up two hits for the Dodgers, who have dropped four of five.

Vicente Padilla (6-4) was torched in defeat for eight hits and tied a career high by allowing eight earned runs over 4 1/3 innings.

Atlanta exploded for four runs in the third and provided all the support Jurrjens needed.

Conrad led off with a single then scored when Cabrera followed with a double. Jurrjens laid down a sacrifice bunt then Infante stroked an RBI single. Rick Ankiel kept the rally going with another single to put runners on the corners before Gonzalez knocked in two with a triple.

In the fifth, a Brian McCann sac fly preceded a three-run blast from Glaus for an 8-0 game, and a Gonzalez sac fly with the bases loaded in the sixth made it a nine-run bulge.

Brad Ausmus' double-play grounder in the seventh put the Dodgers on the board, then Gonzalez, Glaus and Eric Hinske and Conrad added run-scoring hits in the eighth to cap the scoring at 13-1.
